Every crewed flight to the Moon on one shared time axis. Each bar runs from launch to splashdown. The journey out is remarkably consistent, about three days to lunar orbit insertion. On the six landings, the Command Module then circled the Moon (teal) while the Lunar Module was down on the surface (gold); that surface stay grew from under a day on Apollo 11 to more than three on Apollo 17. Four flights never landed: Apollo 8 and Apollo 10 orbited and turned for home (as planned), Apollo 13 swung around without stopping after its in-flight emergency, and Artemis II looped past on a free-return flyby.
